At each side of the hexayurt, a support structure made up of the stacked plywood (with wood strips at connection to act as slot) can be offset a bit, and thereby act as support points for the regular hexayurt roof, and provide an overhang over the bottom edge of the wing.

2. 2 or more wings can be arranged in a straight line by rotating them. The benefit is that transporting them on a trailer fully assembled, or placing them on a small regular shaped lot is possible. The offsetting roof pitches also ensure mounted solar cells would always be facing somewhere useful.

3. 2 wings can be arranged back to back (normally with high sides connected) to form something like a "normal house shape". The concave ends of the structure can be finished off either as 2 regular hexayurt sides (ending at the low 4' height) or a flat roof section creating another 2 high sides (either 6' or 8') that can be perfectly closed off with an extra 8x4 cut on its diagonal.

A neat thing about the smaller version is that it could form the basis for a very light travel trailer. The roof can easily fold flat with hinges, allowing simultaneously for window flats, and improving traveling aerodynamics and potential solar capture.Pascal J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04550838631823938140noreply@blogger.com
